Psychology
Our services are for adults, adolescents and children and their families. We provide individually tailored, evidence-based psychological assessment and treatment in a safe and supportive atmosphere. We have expertise in mental health and work well with anxiety, depression, school problems, anger management, social skills development, schizophrenia, health and illness. We have expertise in providing psychological therapy for people with learning difficulties (e.g. intellectual disability).Behaviour Therapy
Our Therapy team work with people of all ages, including children and young people who are difficult to engage. Once we get to know the child and his or her strengths and skills, we design an individualized therapy program using a combination of teaching strategies and Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA). Our behaviour therapists offer individualised treatment in a range of areas of emotion regulation, toileting programs, social skills development, sexuality, relationships and anger management.Specialist Behaviour Support
My Disability Practitioners are an NDIS Registered Provider of Specialist Behaviour Support. All our Behaviour Support Practitioners have a tertiary qualification and expertise in Positive Behaviour Support. Positive Behaviour Support aims to reduce challenging behaviour by helping the person develop skills they need, so they no longer rely on using problem behaviours into the future. Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) is one of the most researched and effective ways to bring about behaviour change in people of all ages (children and adults).Specialist Accommodation Assessments
We provide comprehensive functional capacity and complex behavioural assessments for participants that need to access accommodation funding under the NDIS. This includes requests for increased SIL funding to support complex behaviour, or requests for other capacity building supports (e.g. therapy and/or specialist behaviour support).Clinical Supervision
Clinical supervision is used in all allied disciplines as well as many other professions engaged in working with people. Continuous professional development is an essential part of quality service delivery and practice in psychology, counselling, and is also a requirement of practitioners delivering NDIS specialist behaviour support services. My Disability Practitioners offer high quality clinical supervision and work practice consultation using evidence-based practice.
