Consultant - Behaviour Support Specialist
Michelle has worked in services supporting individuals with a disability for nearly 30 years. Michelle is a warm, friendly, and approachable person who likes to work collaboratively with individuals and their supporters. As well as enjoying the “people” side of the job, Michelle is also passionate about current practice and new perspectives. She reads extensively and engages in ongoing continuous learning. Michelle likes working with all age groups but recently has been mainly working with adults and older adolescents.Michelle has extensive experience with individuals who have an intellectual disability. However, more recently, she has also supported people with Psychosocial disability and Autism Spectrum Disorder. Besides having considerable experience in behaviour support, Michelle has worked as a direct care worker, case manager, manager and clinical advisor. Michelle is very adaptable to new challenges and has a lot of experience with complex situations. Michelle is a Registered Behaviour Specialist and she works for My Disability Practitioners on a contractor basis.
