Behaviour Specialist

Carlos works for My Disability Practitioners on a contractor basis. Carlos is bilingual, speaking Spanish and English. He has a post-graduate education in a Master in Counselling Psychology completed in 2016. He began his career working in behaviour support back in 2003. Since this time, Carlos has spent time working for both government and non-government services, including Autism Spectrum Australia (ASPECT). Carlos is also professionally licenced as a family therapist. Carlos has extensive experience working with a range of community roles and has recently lived and worked in the USA.

Carlos has a strong background in Behaviour Support Services and he takes an inclusive approach to practice that has a strong foundation in working with children, young people and young adults with emotional and behavioural needs. Carlos takes great care in building trust with people he works with, and he understands the needs of the person and families with culturally diverse backgrounds and experiences.
