Consultant - Behaviour Support Specialist

Kathryn works for My Disability Practitioners on a contractor basis. She has spent more than 25 years working in the Education sector. Kathryn holds a Masters degree in Special Education as well as training in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Trauma-Informed practices, and emotional regulation. Kathryn is very experienced in working with children with ASD that have sensory processing and behavioural disorders, as well as children with intellectual disabilities.

Kathryn is passionate about working with children with complex and challenging behaviours and their families. Kathryn has led team training in positive behaviour support practices, and she has an interest in children with trauma-related behaviours. Kathryn invests time and effort in understanding the child and their behaviour in context with different environments. She then develops Behaviour Support plans that allow child development to effectively grow and mature while managing and supporting the identified behavioural challenges.
